Why Is There a Jaguar Recall on Takata Airbags?

The Takata airbags recall spans the entire automotive industry, affecting 30 automakers and more than 70 million vehicles. Approximately 108,000 Jaguar Land Rover vehicles from model years 2000 to 2017 are impacted. The majority are 2007 to 2012 Range Rover SUVs and 2009 to 2015 Jaguar XF Sedans.

If a defective airbag is triggered by a collision, it could burst and eject sharp metal fragments at vehicle occupants. Although no such incidents have been reported to date in Jaguar vehicles, other manufacturers have reported more than 20 deaths and hundreds of injuries—so don’t wait to schedule repairs at your local Fort Lee Jaguar dealership if you drive one of the models mentioned above!

Is There a Jaguar F-Pace Coolant Recall?

Certain V6- and V8-equipped Jaguar F-Pace, F-Type, and XJ vehicles from model-year 2019 have been recalled due to a defective crankshaft pulley retaining bolt, which could cause improper engine cooling and engine failure. If you have questions about this recall, reach out to Jaguar customer service at 1-800-452-4827 about Jaguar recall number H181.

How Can I Find Out if There are Recalls on My Car?

If there’s something you need to know about your vehicle, Jaguar goes above and beyond to make sure you receive that information in a timely manner! In addition, customers have received bi-monthly emails containing Jaguar recall check reminders and reminders to schedule Jaguar recall repairs.

If you think you may have missed a Jaguar recall notice, you can check for recalls on your car yourself. You can perform a Jaguar recall check online by entering your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN).

What Is Jaguar Doing to Address Recalls on My Car?

Jaguar is committed to 100% accountability for all affected Jaguar vehicles, opening all schedule-mandated recall groups ahead of the timeline set by the NHTSA. Repairs for the defective Takata airbags began in March 2017, and 87% of repairs were already complete as early as 2021.
